I had planned an extra easy day today, but after the realisation that I currently have no dining table and 4 young(ish) kids, I decided that roast dinner wasn't the best of ideas for a meal so quickly changed to a green day.
Anyway, having done a bed swap with the (almost) 4 year old last night cos he'd missed us, I was rudely woken up at 7am by my 1 year old throwing his flask at my head chanting 'juice'. I use the term woken loosely as that would imply I'd slept last night! Tired and weary, I set about making coffee and my breakfast, secretly hoping the rain would put in an appearance similar to last nights but no such luck! Those who know me will know how much I love to run, but I haven't been out since I developed shin splints after my 10k race for life on the 22nd of June and I was so tired. But, I threw on my running gear, cranked up my music and off I went ... It wasn't fast or far but it was further than just sitting on the couch :-)
The rest of the day was taken up with menial housework. There are 7 of us here in a not very big house so we're currently working through storage solutions. It's boring but is freeing up space nicely!!
A lady that I gave some clothes too through a local Facebook page turned up tonight with a box of thornton's chocolates to say thank you. Again, my willpower won out, and the chocolates were eaten by my hubby and sister in law. I'm so determined to stick to plan and get back to where I want to be!
Tonight I have planned my next 7 days of menus and done my tesco shop which is getting delivered tomorrow. Lots of slimming world goodies to get me through the week :-)
So, onto today's food:
Breakfast: Cous cous mixed with frozen summer fruits and a mango shape 0% yoghurt
Lunch: Tomato soup (baked beans, tinned tomatoes, tinned carrots and a pickled onion whizzed in the blender and heated - makes enough for 2 meals so that's lunch tomorrow sorted too!) and 60g wholemeal bread (HEXB)
Tea: Jacket potato with 75g low fat cheese spread (HEXB), Heinz barbecue beans and 30g cheddar cheese (HEXA)
Snacks: Clementine and melon and banana with a toffee muller light.
My other HEXA was used on 250ml semi skimmed milk in my coffees through the day.
